Hello!
This week I am creating with the Seriously The Best stamp set and project kit. The project kit comes with 4 different designs and yesterday I showed how I turned that design into two cards. Today, let’s look at this second card.
Again I divided the same supplies into two piles. The pile on the right, it for the original card design. For the pile on the right, I cut the card base into two pieces, measuring 4″ X 5 1/4″. I then added a Whisper White Thick card base and a Terracotta Tile card base. This time I did divide the pieces between the two cards.
For the first alternate, I stamped the Hello Friend sentiment in Terracotta Tile ink, for a tone-on-tone look. I used the Label Me Lovely Punch to punch out the sentiment. It is a little hard to see, but I did run the rest of the background through my embossing machine with the Subtle 3D embossing folder for added texture.
Take 15″ of the twine, cut it into two and loop it through the hole, tying it is a double-bow before you adhere this onto your card base. I then added the three shorter vellum branches. Add your sentiment with dimensionals to give it a boost. And of course, add the bling!
For the second card, I had the piece with the gold embossed dots on it as my background, so I chose to put the bling on the first alternate. This card is quite similar to the original, just a few fewer pieces. And a slightly different layout. This original card used 30″ of twine, so with 15″ to use on this alternate, I made a smaller “nest” of twine for my bird-o.
What do you think of today’s cards? I think I need a name for a series showcasing stretching a kit. hmmm…. any suggestions?
